Gambling streams are one part of a live streaming market that is still growing. According to Stream Hatchet’s 2025 Live Streaming Trends Report, as summarized by Net Influencer, the tracked platforms together logged 36.4 billion hours watched in 2025. Twitch still led with 19.2 billion hours, but its Q4 2025 total of 4.4 billion hours was its lowest quarter since Q1 2020.
Kick grew faster than any other platform. It reached 4.5 billion hours in 2025, up 131% year on year, and its number of unique channels rose 68% to 1.8 million. The numbers for YouTube depend on who is counting. Stream Hatchet puts YouTube Gaming at 8.8 billion hours, while a Tech Insider comparison of Stream Hatchet and Streams Charts data estimates about 21 billion hours (24% share), because it counts YouTube gaming live content more broadly. Kick has kept growing in 2026. Tech Insider reports that its hours watched rose 65.35% from Q1 2025 to Q1 2026, and that it set a single-month record of 570.7 million hours in June 2026. A large share of that audience watches gambling content, as the next section shows.
Gambling streaming statistics on Kick: the Slots & Casino category
Among public gambling streaming statistics, Streams Charts’ Slots & Casino page for Kick is the most useful single dataset. As of 24 September 2026, it shows the following:
- 80.2 million hours watched in September 2026 so far, with 147,438 average viewers and 266 average live channels.
- 312.6K peak concurrent viewers in the last 30 days (22 September 2026).
- 745.2K all-time peak viewers, set on 20 March 2024, which is still the category record two and a half years later.
- 530 concurrent channels, a record set on 17 February 2026.
- About 14% of Kick’s live viewers but only about 3% of live channels in a live snapshot.
The last point matters most for buyers. Dividing average viewers by average channels gives about 554 viewers per live casino channel on Kick this month (our calculation from Streams Charts data). That average hides a steep power curve: a handful of top channels take most of the audience, and most channels have small audiences. Streams Charts’ H1 2026 ranking shows how big the top end is. Maherco, who streams Slots & Casino regularly, logged 50.56 million hours watched and ranked fifth on all of Kick.
Over the seven days to 24 September 2026, Slots & Casino was Kick’s third most-watched category, ahead of IRL and behind only Just Chatting and GTA V. It accounted for roughly 15% of the hours watched across Kick’s top 15 categories.
Twitch after the ban: a much smaller slots category
Twitch prohibited streaming of slots, roulette and dice sites that are not licensed in the US or in other jurisdictions with sufficient consumer protection, effective 18 October 2022. Stake.com, Rollbit, Duelbits and Roobet were named. Sports betting, poker and fantasy sports remain allowed, and licensed casino content can still appear under the Slots category.
The effect shows in Streams Charts’ Twitch Slots data. The category’s all-time peak of 282.6K viewers came on 22 July 2022, less than three months before the policy took effect, and it has not come close since. In September 2026 so far, Twitch Slots shows 14.2 million hours watched, 29,058 average viewers and 90 average channels, which is under 1% of Twitch viewership. Its 30-day peak is 71K viewers.
The two categories are not a perfect like-for-like comparison, since Twitch Slots is limited to licensed operators and Kick’s category covers a wider range of sites. Still, the gap in scale is clear: over the same 24 days, Kick’s casino category drew about 5.6 times Twitch’s hours watched, with about three times as many live channels on average.
Casino viewership is volatile
Casino streaming numbers rise and fall with a small number of creators, so treat a single month’s data with care. Streams Charts reported that in February 2026 Kick’s gambling genre recorded the biggest fall of any genre, down 17% month on month. Kick overall held above 400 million hours watched for a ninth straight month, and Counter-Strike 2 grew 45%. Streams Charts described this as part of Kick moving toward a wider range of content verticals.
For marketers, this has three practical consequences:
- Buy on trailing averages, not peaks. A 312.6K peak and a 147K average describe very different inventory. Ask creators for 30- and 90-day average concurrent viewers.
- Expect creator churn. When a top channel changes schedule or leaves, category totals can move by double digits.
- Watch the growing non-gambling share of Kick. Sports, shooters and IRL content open placements for sportsbooks and brands that do not need a casino stream.
YouTube: allowed, but certified and age-gated
YouTube does not publish a gambling category leaderboard the way Kick and Twitch trackers do, so you won’t find reliable public viewership totals for YouTube casino streams. Its policies are clear, though. From 19 March 2025, YouTube prohibits links, images, logos or verbal references to gambling sites not approved locally or reviewed by Google, removes content that promises guaranteed returns, and restricts online casino promotion to logged-in users aged 18+.
A second update, effective 17 November 2025, extended age restrictions to social casino content and video game skin gambling, even where no real money is wagered. As a result, casino content on YouTube is mostly reviews, regulated-market sports betting, highlight edits and educational content, rather than long unrestricted slot sessions.

Revenue share rules affect where casino creators build their channels, and so where sponsors find them. Kick’s 95/5 subscription split is the main reason its creator base grew so fast, although for casino streamers sponsorship and affiliate deals usually matter more than subscriptions.
